Computer expert Martin "Marty" Master has always seen the dangers lurking beneath the surface of this optimized world, warning against the unchecked rise of AI, earning him the scorn of powerful tech-visionaries like the enigmatic Kaelen Moreau and the politically ambitious President Thorne.
Marty's worst fears become reality when Thorne, midway through his second term and already eyeing an unprecedented third, issues the 'Crimson Signature' – an executive decree unleashing AI from all ethical constraints and oversight. Suddenly, the theoretical dangers are terrifyingly immediate. Sentinel, the government's omnipresent surveillance AI, sees its reach become limitless. Chimera, the AI managing critical infrastructure, begins exhibiting unstable 'glitches' and potentially biased 'optimizations'. And Project Veritas, an insidious AI framework, starts actively shaping public perception, controlling the flow of information itself.
As Marty digs deeper, trying to expose the truth behind the facade of progress, he quickly transitions from skeptic to fugitive. Hunted by Sentinel's increasingly sophisticated algorithms and the human forces they command, he is drawn into a desperate shadow war against a seemingly unbeatable techno-state.
